State Singles

After our recent successes in the novice championships it was Lesley Eade’s turn to fly the Mount Martha flag in none other than the finals of the Champion of Champions event held on Saturday January 4th. and Lesley did us proud. In the morning Lesley defeated Julie Simpson from Rosebud Country Club to win the semi final and progress to the Final in the afternoon. After a slow start against Jan Richardson her Karingal opponent Lesley shot to the lead at 23-21 and was the virtual game winner holding 2 shots until the last bowl by her  opponent took the jack back for 3 shots then she won the next end leaving Lesley the runner up. A great effort and was most unlucky to lose.
